4 star DB Blaylock visiting Oregon twice in two weeks

Post by UOducksTK1 »

Stephan Blaylock wanted to get to know the coaches more personally, so he visited before his spring visit on his own dime. Gave the visit an "A" and is still visiting again for the spring game. Great exposure for us.

I've heard that he's very underrated and might be better than Bosco's other safety who is a 4/5*.

I've heard the same. Very underrated with a lot of upside. I think Scout actually has a more accurate evaluation of him. #14 DB and #127 recruit in the country.

He's committing Friday. Don't think we have room for him, but I wouldn't mind if he commited here. I like him.

Yeah with Stevens and Holland we might be full at S, but I wouldn't mind it either he's a good player.

Given the state of the D, are Taggart and Co really in a position to turn down high level players like this? If he's as good as people above are saying, certainly they can find a way to make room for him.

Do you take Blaylock, or do you stand pat and hold a spot for Hufanga? You don't need 4 safety's this year, because it's going to get crowded real quick. We still have Breeze RS-F, Schooler (so), Gibson (fr), Pickett who will probably RS, and Leonoir is though to probably start out at safety this year.

Holland might move to WR, and Hufanga could end up somewhere besides S. But yes, I agree. It could get crowded.

I thought levatt was going to play with extra DBs against PAC 12 offenses?

Would be nice to have guys that were CB/S combos like Lenoir or S/LB combos

By the time 2018 guys are done redshirting, Lenoir and Gibson will be juniors.

Our freshman will need to play this year.

According to Scott Reed over at Rivals, the Ducks will take both Hufanga and Blaylock if they have the chance. They plan on taking 5 DBs/ S and would make room for Hufanga.

I'm pretty confident that this staff knows what there doing. At first i thought it was to many
dbs etc. But they have a plan. Now lets get some linebackers and d-lineman.

Hufanga could easily grow into a LB or hybrid.

How do you figure? He's not very tall.

He's already close to 200 as a HS Jr. and he's Poly. You don't think he can add another 15-20 lbs? Lol
