Taggart and Crisotobal were not too excited about this. Of course it works both ways for and against us. I imagine with our new longer view out 2-3 years for evaluating and recruiting players, we will be in a better situation in a couple years, since our coaches have been here less than a year, to further their relationships with more players in 2019 ,2020 first.

If they were an entirely new staff trying to make up ground, then an early signing period would be bad since they'd have less opportunities to flip needed recruits. But with the way they're now establishing connections and recruits of their own, the early signing period isn't as bad for them as before.

I'm not too worried without how we are recruiting so far. Before the spring game, I probably wouldn't have liked the situation this would have put us in.

This rule would have killed the previous staffs; seems like half our classes were assembled in that Dec-Feb time frame. This staff should be fine.
