Now the coaches need to work on Paniel Jean since it seemed like he was really interested in Oregon. Considering how limited our scholarship situation is, it just may be they want him but don't have the room yet.

The future of this defense just keeps looking better.

Does Dixon have any DT stud friends looking for a home?
It is awesome that we got 1 of the in-state guys..... so far, a couple Cali guys and otherwise the commits are from as far East as you can get! So much for distance being a factor..... and if Oregon can win a couple BCS games and maybe a NC, distance should no longer be a factor with the majority of guys. Sure Oregon still won't get a ton of 5* guys like Texas, Ohio State, USC, Florida, etc. but they should be able to start getting at least 1-2 in each class soon!

I think if there are top-talent guys Oregon wants they should make room like other schools do!

I think most were saying pointless to recruit a 5 star east of Miss.

Not that Dixon isnt a stud, but its not like the Ducks snagged him from Florida, Miami.

Now getting 5 star Allen would be anther story.

Does anyone know if this will affect the recruitment of Erick Dargan?

Is Oregon only planning on taking either Dixon or Dargan?

I only ask because I've become quite enamored with Dargan looking at his highlight reels (though I am admittedly no expert, just making a personal observation).

Don't get me wrong, I'm very happy to get Issac Dixon, but I was just curious to know if Dargan is still in play as well.

I think this helps not only because Dixon is a good player but him and Grant can help to open up a pipeline in Florida!!! The same with McCain and Scales..... and hopefully King for North Carolina!

I talked to mops, and he told me Dixon is being recruited as a Safety/Rover, but he also has the ability to play some LB.

I really don't think this will change too much with Dargan. We still have room for him, and he's also one hell of a RB.

Ducks do a great job of getting talent on the field, even if it means moving guys around (Maehl DB to WR, Barner DB to RB, and plenty others).

Wish Harper didnt move to K.State, He could been a replacement for Blount and be our Thunder RB with Lighting LMJ.

My impression is that Harp wasn't satisfied with a, "Coach Knows Best", situation... Regardless of what he said about his willingness to do whatever it takes to help the team, I can't say I believe CH would ever have been happy playing WR, RB of the TZR position for the Ducks.

That said, with the right training and attitude, I do believe he could have been a taller version of Snoop.

He certainly had the speed and the build for it!

I guess that's part of the point... LMJ and Barner are the epitome of guys who will do what's best for the team.

And I am definitely not disrepecting those young men.

The thing that is making this team special is that the sum appears to be greater than the parts... The chemistry Chip is creating must be something special.
