It has been over 24 hours since DT broke the news, but nothing from their counter parts? Just curious I suppose.

DT calls recruits all the time
some are just not official commits.
Scout and Rivals only post commits when it is an official commit.
They get confirmation that the recruit called the Oregon coaches to commit.
Scout and Rivals dont have Dontae as an official either. Has he called Duck staff?

Isaac Dixon is 100% a commit. Rivals and Scout are probably just struggling to get ahold of Dixon to confirm.
Dontae is not a commit. ESPN database is old and hasn't been updated. Even DT clearly knows he's not a commit...

scout, rivals, espn, etc only list commits when they talk to them. it's always been like that.

I know they need "verbal confirmation", and I know "it's has always been like that". However, it isn't typical to have read of a commitment on one site and see nothing on the front pages of the other big sites yet - 2 days later. That is the odd part here.hines wrote:scout, rivals, espn, etc only list commits when they talk to them. it's always been like that.
PS, I'm not questioning the info, or reading anything into this, just find it curious.

Probably because DT is not a trusted site.

DT is just as reliable, if not more reliable, than any other oregon recruiting site on the web.mjenk99 wrote:Probably because DT is not a trusted site.

What are you talking about? These type of silly comments normally come from someone associated with a competing website, so I'm guessing you are involved with eDuck or DSA in some way.mjenk99 wrote:Probably because DT is not a trusted site.

DT always seems to get the inside info 1st. Maybe because they call more or have more contacts, I dont know. I have a subscription to Scout and I can tell you 75% of the time DT and/or Rivals knows about a commit before Scout. Sometimes the Scout mods know about a "secret" commit and just tease you. Pisses me off. I dont pay ten/bucks a month for HS games.
DT gives you all the secret info on what they are hearing.
Scout is still trying to verify Dixon. Come on.

He probably just means that it has not been around long enough to be considered a very reliable source. It doesnt mean that it isnt reliable just that it hasnt gained the publics trust.
