Although Allen may be out of the picture..
I would love to land Gabe King. McCain is doing his part to keep Gabe in Eugene, McCain posted this on Gabe's facebook:
OREGON ALLLLLL DAYYYYYYYYY, QUACKIN LIKE THEM DUCKSSSSSSS,
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Also if you haven't seen this video already you should check it out (It's months old btw):
http://rivals.yahoo.com/video/recruitin ... rlQXYh7qB4
Shows the welcoming personalities of all 3 players. Getting Gabe to come with Chris would be awesome.

Re: Although Allen may be out of the picture..
Are we not even getting a visit from Allen now?
While you can't blame him for going to Bama, getting a visit would be huge. One thing we have that they don't is his 3 best friends which could be big, and with our fans, facilities, and defensive dominance this year, I would think we'd HAVE to at least be in the picture if he visited.
I guess I'm just saying that its not over until the fat lady sings, or in this case, the LOI is signed and faxed... Look at how Taj Boyd or Bryce Brown played out last year... Tennessee wasn't even on the radar for Brown until the last few minutes...

The family is on Bama's side. Therefore, our chances are minimal. Clearly nothing is impossible in recruiting, but IMO Dargan, Jefferson, or Parker are worth putting more effort into since we have much better chances with them.glazeduck wrote:Are we not even getting a visit from Allen now?

I wonder if Oregon's record with knee injuries (Dennis Dixon) will help with King.

So did McCain post on King's page that message or did Gabe post that on his own page?UOducksTK1 wrote:I would love to land Gabe King. McCain is doing his part to keep Gabe in Eugene, he posted this on his facebook:

King also posted "Go Ducks' on Allen's page
I heard that we're not COMPLETELY out of it for Allen, but the odds are slim.

That we're even in the discussion, gives pause, to how far this proram has come. Being around since the late 70's, this is truly exciting. Recruiting is also as much fun as watching the games. And now that I'm residing in Trojan country, this site is my daily fix for everything and anything Duck related

My totally uneducated guess is if Allen makes it out for an official with the parents, the Pop's will see enough to let Keenan make the decision, conceding Oregon wouldn't be that bad, meaning Allen is a Duck.OregonMAX wrote:King also posted "Go Ducks' on Allen's page

If Allen takes an official alone however, we have a 1/4 chance at him. Pop's would still be getting an earful of "Oregon this, Oregon that" for a month or so but ultimately won't consent to an Oregon commitment.
If we get no visit. Alabama all the way.

I love it too. Unfortunately, I'm somewhat of a new fan (since I didn't go to UO, but grew up in Oregon at least) but I would consider myself pretty die-hard ever since my first game at Autzen in 2006. I love hearing the old stories from my co-workers.UOducksTK1 wrote:Glad to see long time members posting.mijaha wrote:That we're even in the discussion, gives pause, to how far this proram has come. So I heard this today from a coworker today that Gabe King doesn't want to play for South anymore and is trying to transfer to Marist. I don't know anything else, but that's what I heard.

Sorry, but Gabe is favoring Cal right now. If you think he's recruiting Allen to Oregon, keep dreaming, because King needs to be swayed to be a Duck.
