Hope we don't hear those results earlier... All the better reason for Herbert to return, and put the Oregon doubters to bed.
Autzen Stadium... Where great teams go to die...Hard!

Hufanga will be in Eugene for an unofficial visit, according to Nemec. I'm guessing that means he's skipping Oregon's big recruiting weekend to go to USC for his OV.jimmy12 wrote:this weekend. Just an FYI-- will be interesting to hear the results of those visits on Monday.
As for Williams and Sewell, wouldn't surprise me to see either one wind up going to SC. I think Sewell is ours, but if Williams goes to SC I would be more than content with any one or two of Cota/Hall/Ezzard.

Andrew Nemec: 3 hours ago Change of plans (again): Talanoa Hufanga at Oregon now, but will take visit to USC this weekend as originally planned. Canceled, but rescheduled.
Just hope he still comes for the December 15th big recruiting weekend

The Hufanga change of plans is a good thing. Yes, Oregon for unoffocial, then to USC for official, but then Oregon on the 15th for an official (if oregon not playing in bowl game).
Sewell-- primary competitor Alabama.

Sewell and Waddle picked up Alabama crystal balls today. That would suck losing both of them, two of my favorites. Although I would rather see them at bama than USC.

Waddle I wouldn't be too torn up about. I'm more interested in the 6'2+ receivers we're after. But Sewell... That would suck.brich75 wrote:Sewell and Waddle picked up Alabama crystal balls today. We taking 10 WRs? Lol glad some of them are versatile athletes that can play elsewhere.

It's so absurd I have to start wondering if the staff is worried some of our commits won't qualify.Phenom wrote:We taking 10 WRs? Lol glad some of them are versatile athletes that can play elsewhere.

I can’t fault them. We lose our top WR in Nelson at the end of this season. After that it’s Mitchell, Schooler, Johnson, Davis, Redd and Ofodile who lead the WR group. While Mitchell and Johnson have played well, I don’t think they open the field enough, for the pass to truly be effective and reliable. Which is why I think the offence catches fire and then goes 3-0 so often when penalties aren’t a factor. I’m not saying it’s a bad passing attack or anything of that nature, I just think with our current/future WR group they have a lot of holes that are ultimately holding the team back.
What I will say is that of the potential WR’s/TE’s we have on the board, a fair number are athletes as opposed to strictly pass catching options.
For instance, Ezekie can play both WR and TE. In addition, Williams, Ezzard, Lenzy, Harrison and Quitoriano can all play both sides of the field so it sounds like they’re trying to just get more football players and athletes. Hufanga, Redd, Habibi-Likio, Burch and McNeal are all athletes as well. I think these players are going to be utilized to fill gaps where there’s a major concern such as safety, WR, and even QB and that will be finished this season unless it’s an instate kid or major player like Hufanga. Then after that it will likely be a more streamlined process of filling positions as a whole.

They've probably watched the WR we have, and realized not one of them are any good. Mitchell had 3 drops just last game, and he's supposed to be the best of the young guys.ifuwant2 wrote:It's so absurd I have to start wondering if the staff is worried some of our commits won't qualify.Phenom wrote:We taking 10 WRs?
