Bowl game impact on recruiting

Post by greenyellow »

With Oregon now slotted for the Las Vegas Bowl on Dec. 16th, Oregon's big recruiting event scheduled for that weekend is in all likelihood done. With that event being the last chance to get recruits like Hufanga, Cota, and several others on campus before the early signing period, you have to wonder if that makes it less likely Oregon gets them.

We should skip the bowl game festivities and stay in Eugene. It's a short flight to Vegas. lol

Knowing all along that the Vegas Bowl was a strong possibility, Taggart should never have put so many recruiting eggs in this basket. It's totally on the coaches that they have to scramble now. This is a good match-up and will end up being good for recruiting if it holds the interest of more viewers than playing Kansas State in the Cactus Bowl. The ducks need to focus on winning this game.

Guys the bowl game has zero impact on recruiting compared to if Willie leaves. If he stays it won't be an issue he is a great recruiter and we will sign best class in Oregon history

Now it looks like this weekend's recruiting event will be a total bust as well:

Here's Hoping whoever is in charge the next couple weeks turns out to be a game planning Olympian... Best chance to WOW recruits just became showing 'em "We didn't need Willie anyway!"
Autzen Stadium... Where great teams go to die...Hard!
