Trovon Reed Update

Post by dthomas=ddixon »

"He can't wait to get out there," Sean Nelson, Reed's guardian, said. "This is the first visit for him so Trovon is really excited to see what Oregon is all about. He has heard so many great things about the school and is ready to experience all that for himself.

"They need receivers so there's an opportunity to play early. They have a good coaching staff that has been recruiting him really hard, we heard they have great facilities, the weather is always nice there being on the West Coast, there's the NIKE connection and he likes their uniforms a lot. Oregon has a lot going for them and Trovon is very interested in the school."

Sounds like a winner! Let's hope that we exceed his expectations! :D

By "weather on the west coast always being nice" they must mean that we dont get frequent hurricanes or something. Kind of confused on this one...

I laughed when I saw that too, and perhaps the "It never rains in Autzen" is taken way too literal.
Humidity down there is very nasty down there, and may have some bearing on that comment.

"He won't drag his recruitment out just to do it. As soon as he knows where he should go, he'll go ahead and commit. I know some players want to wait and commit at one of the All-American games but I don't think Trovon will do that. He'll probably commit before then and be done with it."

I had a roomate who grew up in Florida. He loved to surf, but moved out here over 20 years ago because he hated the humidity. He adamantly prefers our "nice" weather over that.

Maybe substitute "nice" with "mild" and it makes more sense.... :)
