If we can't get any receivers back, Jevon Holland's SR highlights as a receiver are among the best of the WR prospects and decommits. I know we all were hoping he'd turnout to be a stud safety, but depending on the which position turns out to be the most critical need he's an option. Frankly, the mistakes of a true freshman wide receiver aren't as costly as those of a true freshman safety anyway.EncinitasDuck wrote:Not surprisingly Warren Thompson now gone. Super Mario better get out and find some receivers. JHop saying class down to 18 and out of the receivers that were previously committed we're down to one TE remaining.

No he's not:EncinitasDuck wrote:Not surprisingly Warren Thompson now gone. Super Mario better get out and find some receivers. JHop saying class down to 18 and out of the receivers that were previously committed we're down to one TE remaining.
I think we still get him.

"He[Cristobal] will identify some guys he might like a little better even though they might not be as highly regarded as some of the previous names we've heard. So if you see Cristobal going after a mid-level three-star vs a big fish name, it doesn't mean it's a backup or Oregon might not get the higher-rated player, it just means it's someone he likes a little better."

Re: 2018 Oregon Commit List
At least 3 commits are enrolling early. Wouldn't be surprised if there are a few others so they can sign more than the 25 limit per class.

I posted on another thread, but maybe it should have gone here.
MJ Cunningham not going to visit TCU this weekend. He tweeted it.

Re: 2018 Oregon Commit List
This class can definitely be salvaged. The weakest parts that I can see is that we have two tiny running backs who might be better slotted for the defensive backfield, there needs to be a 2nd QB (preferably experienced, but take what you can get), and the staff needs to battle to get some WRs back.

The LV bowl is inconvenient with the early signing period, and it looks like a few guys we're targeting will sign elsewhereStevensTechU wrote:This class can definitely be salvaged. Hopefully there's 5 early entries for a 30 person class
I don't see any RBs or QBs this late in the game
Best case scenario we get a few WR commits but I'm not holding my breath

Re: 2018 Oregon Commit List
I know we missed out on our recruiting weekend but we still had guys show up. If there isn't a dead period for coaches visiting though it can also be a boon for us as Mario and others will likely be in a recruits home tonight and leading up to signing period instead of doing bowl prep too.
Nemec has a prediction for Devon Williams to Oregon following the trend of many others. I want to say he reminds me of Julio and will be our first true #1 but I'll temper myself with another DW and that's a taller, faster Demetrius Williams.

Re: 2018 Oregon Commit List
Cristobal's first commit as HC is JUCO CB Haki Woods, who is now the 19th member of the 2018 class:

Re: 2018 Oregon Commit List
Oregon is expected most of its commits to sign early, with really only King, Webb, Winston, and Andrew Johnson not stating their plans.

What about Malcom Lamar? Hasn’t officially decommitted but was at FSU visiting Taggart already?greenyellow wrote:Oregon is expected most of its commits to sign early, with really only King, Webb, Winston, and Andrew Johnson not stating their plans.
