With the lack of positive movement, the coaches just seem like they're waiting to regroup once the dead period begins after the early signing period and then hit the recruiting trail hard in January and February with a full staff.

As a Florida guy, it's expected but 15 guys already signed, a top 15 class currently with a few guys who will still sign with the Ducks in February, these coaches will likely still put together a top 10 class, likely the highest Duck class ever and bring some WRs back into the fold and get a few more defensive line guys. I'm excited about who they will close out with as well as which coaches they end up with. I am excited about the Cristobal era to begin (throw the Boise State game out the window as that wasn't a realistic example of whats to come).

Lenzy commits and signs with Notre Dame. Not surprising since it seems that even after growing up a Ducks fan, it was WT who got him to change his commitment to Oregon. With him gone, the vision that was sold to him was gone and Notre Dame came back into the picture. WT is basically going to cost Oregon up to 3 in-state guys (Lenzy, Cota, and Lenzy.)

Best of luck to Lenzy at ND. However, I don't understand how one person could have so much influence over a decision. The staff is essentially in tact sans Taggart ...

I don't get it either but we don't know what WT was saying to these kids versus what Cristobal is now. Beginning to think WT overpromised a lot of these decommits while Cristobal is being a bit more real with them.

Did anyone really expect any of these FL commits to stay once Taggart left? They were always more WT guys than Oregon guys.

Nope. It was equal Taggart and coach Whoodie.

Ya once Woodie was gone, I knew we'd be losing all the guys recruited.

Most of the dead period is going to be spent filling the remaining staff openings. Same thing happened under WT so I assume it'll be no different under Cristobal.

I guess it can't really be a bummer if nobody expected him to stay committed in their predictions, right?

J Hop made knew predictions with Sewell, Manoa, Battle and Hall all to Oregon. Hall and Sewell high confidence and the other two medium confidence, he also has Harrison to USC with medium confidence. Those four would all be great adds, and then to add Williams and another wr or two.
