For 247Sports four-star prospect Jacob Bandes, the nation's No. 3 defensive tackle, it was time to cut down his list to a top eight.
The 6-foot-3, 295-pound defensive lineman, out of Pittsburg High School (Antioch, California), narrowed down his options to California, Colorado, Florida, Illinois, Ole Miss, Oregon, Purdue and Washington:

It's an interesting 8, Cal is pretty close to Antioch. Who knows about Illinois, Purdue, Colorado?

Cal, Illinois, Purdue all have good undergrad engineering programs, if that's what he's interested in.

Thankfully no USC or UCLA on that list. They are very hard to out recruit for cali kids, even when they come in after the hype and give out a late offer.

Bandes is committing this week, instead of waiting until later in the year. All signs point to Washington. He never even took his planned visit to Eugene. Kind of interesting that he decided to push his commitment date up from one of the All-America games to this week.
