Jameson Williams' big announcement is that he will be playing in the Polynesian Bowl all star game. He's still visiting us for SNL and then going to Nebraska, planning on taking OVs during the fall.
Rutherford seems to be down to us and Oklahoma. We'll see if he's the SNL commit, or his big announcement is that he's decided to switch toothpaste brands. I just watched his HUDL for the first time, and he's the real deal. Way faster than I thought. On offense his high school runs a wing type offense, and he just houses 10-15 carries up the middle where he makes the defenses look like they are stuck in quicksand. But his future is at CB, great instincts and technique. Didn't see much in the way of tackling, but there's no way he can be a worse tackler than our 2015/16 defense.
I wouldn't be surprised if Giles Jackson pushed his commitment date up, our recruiting momentum is probably making kids rethink their timelines. Rumblings are that he's favoring Michigan. Harbaugh did snake some from us a few years ago, if you remember Dylan Kekoa-Crawford and Eddie McDoom. Kekoa wound up being a troublemaker and transferred out. McDoom looked poised for a breakout after a promising freshman year, but didn't get much playing time last year.
On Nemec's new weekly recruiting podcast, he said that's been told by a few Oregon commits of at two recruits who'll make their Oregon commitments made public soon and he's confirmed that with those 2 recruits. To me, it didn't sound like they were only 2019 guys.
