Oregon now leading for Trovon Reed?

Has Oregon taken the lead and Auburn and LSU fallen behind? It sounds like Reed has postponed his announcement and with Seastrunk visiting Oregon later is it possible Reed is waiting til after Seastrunks visit? Wow how good would it be to get one or both of these guys? We were really never in it for these guys and now it sounds like we lead! Way to go Chip! Keep those top recruits coming Oregon's way!

This might explain why Dontae Williams didn't commit as expected. Maybe that meeting with CK was about how he would have to beat out Seastrunk.

If we get Seastrunk I will poop my pants. He is, IMO, by far the best back in this class. His speed & quickness is unmatched & he combines it with good size & strength. In our offense he would be UNSTOPPABLE.

Sounds like someone needs to invest in some Pampers.dthomas=ddixon wrote:If we get Seastrunk I will poop my pants. He is, IMO, by far the best back in this class. His speed & quickness is unmatched & he combines it with good size & strength. In our offense he would be UNSTOPPABLE.

Michael Dyer just committed to Auburn, which is great news for duck fans.
Lache and Latt were high on Auburn, but now that Dyer, who is ranked the #2 RB in the country by scout, has committed to the Tigers, that opens the door for Oregon.

SO I'm confused....
Trovon is supposedly delaying his decision so his buddy can check out Oregon? Sounds like they are essentially a packaged deal then right? So is the key to convince Seastrunk he can put up 2,000 yards in this offense and then Trovon tags along?
What other schools are recruiting the two? While Seastrunk clearly has interest in the Ducks, how interested is he?

Stewart Mandel-"From a purely aesthetic standpoint, I much prefer to watch a good spread-rushing offense over a traditional Power-I offense, and Oregon's has been the most fun by far for the past several years. It's fast, its precise, and when Chip Kelly has the right quarterback (Dixon, Masoli) at the helm, the possibility of someone ripping off a 60-yard run exists on nearly every play."

It would be a hell of a coup if we could pull these guys out from the SEC's backyard.

Re: Oregon now leading for Trovon Reed?
I think we'll be battling LSU for both of these guys.
The problem with recruiting Reed is there's two ways to look at our WR's from his standpoint: He can step in right away and help out a group that has been underachieving, or our WR's are underutilized and it won't be a good fit for him.
For our sake, I hope it's the former.

Masoli had 338 yards passing last weekend... The WRs aren't underutilized... They are underperforming.

Re: Oregon now leading for Trovon Reed?
If he sees how many yards Masoli threw against Stanford and how many more there could have been if a lot more passes had been caught that should have been, he would see the former.I believe we run more than throw because it is the more consistant part of our game most weeks.
