Conflicting info for big recruits rarely goes Oregon’s way. Not to be a downer but it’s true...

Additionally, still think we have a fair shot with KT. Last year JHop told us like 5 guys were LOCKS for Oregon a week before signing, who didn't end up coming. He has a connection or 2, but taking his word is just silly, especially when recruits can still change their minds.

Things are fluid. Kid enjoyed his visit and there's still a chance that weight goes a long way.

Jhop seems to think kt is asking more than Mario can afford

Well, XBox Tosh is a known and convicted bag man. Would not be surprising, but that's big boy recruiting.

I know fans of the LA schools have claimed for months that KT or those around him may be looking for a few extra benefit$. Maybe sour grapes because he was looking elsewhere?

Pay the kid!

I'm being facetious. Kind of. But if USC can hook up jobs and citizenship help for families, it shows if we want to play with the big boys we need to do it by their rules. Tosh Lupoi will do whatever it takes, we shouldn't be playing on an uneven playing field.

As far as JHop, he's not always right. Blake Barnett, Chip Kelly in 2016, etc, and giving him a pass for Devon Williams because he was coming here before USC's last minute bid.

I think it’s a pretty dumb assumption and insinuation to say that bama only got him last minute cause of a last minute offer. KT has been the #1 recruit for two years now. If he wanted to be paid, he would be and teams would have lined that up long ago. So, either we were willing to get him extra benefits which is a black mark on us, or bama just made a better pitch as the #1 team.

To imply that both Oregon and KT were on the up and up and then bama came in and offered him money and that’s the only thing swaying him is just ignorant at best.

Cool read and smart kid.
I really like this kid. I feel a bit sad for him that because of his extraordinary talents, football has become "work" for him while he's still in HS. He seems extremely adept at handling it, though, and I admire his viewpoint on life both on and off the field. I'll root for him wherever he goes.

Clearly some recruits are paid

But generally, it's the top, top guys

I'm not going to say it's wrong, but some Schools have an advantage there

No one knows what's going on with KT even jhop doesn't know

I would be surprised if Oregon can pay what bama can offer, however

Thibodeaux gone?

Post by BigDuck11 »

What's the latest on Kayvon Thibodeaux? I noticed Alabama has picked up some steam on Crystal Ball, but I don't think we're out of it yet... Are we? It'd be really crushing to lose him considering I thought he was all Duck after the visit.
