Potential late period signees/visitors
With Oregon getting the majority of the 2019 class signed today, they'll likely still have a few spots left for the late period. Here are some guys that Oregon could legitimately get to close out the class:
4* WR Puka Nacua: down to Oregon, UCLA, UW, and USC
Grad Transfer WR Juwan Johnson: heavy Oregon lean
3* C Logan Sagapolu: OREGON
4* DT Kristian Williams: OREGON
4* LB Daniel Heimuli: leaning towards UW but Oregon still very much in it
3* CB DJ James: OREGON
3* S Jamal Hill: OREGON

Any more 2-3* kids, diamonds in the rough out there on the radar?

Two stars like Pat Chung and Jairus Byrd are a lot more rare now. The advent of Twitter, Hudl, camps, 7-on-7, and the proliferation of recruiting sites has made it harder to find diamonds in the rough. A lot of it used to be getting a hot tip from a friendly HS coach, now even a low three star is known by every program in the country.GrantDuck wrote:Any more 2-3* kids, diamonds in the rough out there on the radar?

Re: Potential late period signees
I remember Bellotti or Aliotti basically saying they lucked into him because many thought he was too young to even sign that year or didn't want to take a chance on someone so young.Duck07 wrote:He was also practicing as a 16 year old.GrantDuck wrote:Any more 2-3* kids, diamonds in the rough out there on the radar?

They'll take Ford if he wants to commit but they really want/need one more CB, S, LB, and DT.karlhungis wrote:What are the needs? Or are we just going with best guys available?

I would think first priorities are another DT and CB and then the best of the rest to fill out the classkarlhungis wrote:What are the needs? Or are we just going with best guys available?

Ralen Goforth is off the board, as he signed with USC.
I'm thinking Steele signed with Florida if he did sign today.

Had a feeling Goforth would end up there but didn't know when he'd sign.GoDucksTroll wrote:Ralen Goforth is off the board, as he signed with USC.

I thought Ford was UW or USC, and we were an unlikely 3rd?

One of the good things about signing 22/22 guys is that the coaches can just focus on these guys now. That should yield good results.

Re: Potential late period signees
Dollars is an EE who should count towards last year so we might be able to call it 22/21 and oversign another player or 2 possibly to be 27/25.Phenom wrote:One of the good things about signing 22/22 guys is that the coaches can just focus on these guys now. That should yield good results.
