Isn't JJ like 5'10"? LaMichael James is 5'9" and he's shorter than JJ. I think that website mixed JJ up with someone else... Maybe LMJ?

Top Five Shortest
1. Arizona WR Mike Thomas -- 5-8
2. Oregon RB Jeremiah Johnson -- 5-8¾
3. Wake Forest CB Alphonso Smith -- 5-8⅞
T4. Mississippi State S Derek Pegues -- 5-9⅜

No, they don't have him mixed up with anyone. The heights and weights you see on rosters, whether it be in the NBA or college football, are notoriously inaccurate. They give a rough approximation, but players often pump up their actual height by an inch or two. The official measurements you get from combines, etc. are the only things you can trust.

JJ's roster height of 5'10" isn't really much of an exaggeration considering that is about the height he would be with shoes on, which is the height normally given.

I know height is notorious for being exaggerated, but usually only among positions where height makes a difference like QB and WR, but height for RB isn't as important as weight/strength and speed. Besides, like I said before, JJ is taller than LMJ and it just makes more sense that the # is actually for LMJ. When would JJ have submitted more accurate statistics?

How could they mistake his numbers for LMJ's when LMJ isn't even at the senior bowl getting measured. It looks pretty reasonable to me. I see him being one of the shortest playing in the game. I was shocked to see Mike Thomas was that short...never realized that. Makes his career in college that much more impressive as he isn't a burner like Desean Jackson was.

No, that doesn't make the slightest bit of sense. Did you even visit the link? These are official measurements taken at the Senior Bowl National Scouting Weigh-In.
