Potential grad transfers

Post by greenyellow »

While Oregon is still in on a lot of 2019 recruits, it does seem they're keeping an eye on some potential grad transfers. The main one I've seen pop up is Miami WR Lawrence Cager, who I assume the coaches envision as a potential fill-in for Mitchell's roster spot even though Cager doesn't exactly have the career production that is eye-popping or confidence building. Two others that have popped up recently are UCLA DE Chigozie Nnoruka and Colgate LB TJ Holl. Both would likely get spots should should they fail to land any of the DE or LB recruits.

Eh, according to a number of Miami fans on reddit, Cager can't catch. I didn't watch Miami for more than 5 minutes last season, so I can't confirm if that's true, but that'd be a hard pass if it is.

I wonder if there are any RB grad transfers? I’d think with our line all coming back next year that a top RB would love to come play here.

Because every team wants to re- sign a guy who allegedly accused of assault..

I know we wouldn’t want him back. I was just surprised he was a top 10 receiver this past year.

I wouldn’t mind taking a chance on cager if there aren’t any other options. He’s 6”5 and has experience, which is what we need. We have plenty of young talent.

Cager has talent and shows flashes of being brilliant, but he has the same issue our current receivers have, droppsies. Its either a QB issue and they can't place the ball or he lacks concentration.

That’s why I said if there aren’t any other options. If we have a scholarship available, might as well give it a chance.

He wasn't accused of assault. He was accused of indecent exposure on two occasions that coincidentally happened on consecutive days. No other accusations outside of those two days. He claimed some sort of jock itch. Maybe he was showing people his penis thinking it wasn't a big deal because he had a rash. Women flash their tops all the time and no one flips out and assumes they are a sexual predator.

There's a time and a place, and he more than likely chose wrong.
