I never went to HS in Portland, so I was wondering which powerhouse HS football programs in Oregon are pro-UO and anti-UO.

There is really no set lines. Sheldon, in Eugene, is the one exception.

Central Catholic: Lamar Winston, Brady Breeze, Ryan Nall, Joey Harrington, Scarlett brothers - and a whole host of others send kids to a bunch of schools.

Jesuit: Henry Mondeaux, Doug Brenner, Alfieri brothers, Lowe brothers, Mike Haas, and many others also sends kids all over the place.

West Linn: Alex Forsyth, Elijah Molden. Pro Oregon since Chris Miller has been the coach but it didn’t help with Molden and the mess at the time.

Tigard: Scott Grady, AJ Hotchkins, Lenzy brothers. Leans Oregon.

Lake Oswego: Dawson Jaramillo. Coached by Beav Steve Coury they’ve fallen off a bit lately with the rise of West Linn.

Basically Pac-12 talent is rare in Oregon so a lot of the talent winds up at the two big Catholic schools, or they move the kids to a more affluent area that supports football better, like 2020 4-star Jalen Johns going from Aloha to Lakeridge. Not much in the way of some powerhouse schools being pro-Oregon, except Sheldon.

Impressive recall of schools and their alumni. Do you have a database or just an incredible memory?

Mentioning uw is definitely worthwhile. Their relationships at Jesuit are probably better than either in-state school.

Haha, thanks. There are so few in-state Oregon kids that wind up worthy of being recruited by UO that I remember them.

We didn't really pursue Lowe and Kirkland is a UW legacy.

I'm as confused as Phenom is by that statement. Who are all of those Jesuit players at UW over the past 20 years? I went to Jesuit (well within the last 20 years) and played football there (at Jesuit, not UW) and can only think of Ian McMilan (walk-on transfer from Princeton), Andrew Kirkland, Jaxson Kirkland, and Trey Lowe and that's mostly (3/4 of them) been since 2013.

If anything, I'd say OSU would have been the school that had success landing kids from Jesuit over the past 20 years, though that's dropped off much more recently in favor of UO and UW.

Nah. My original comment is that the huskies have as strong of Jesuit ties as anybody. My last post asked the question of have either in-state program had more players recently than the fuskies. I don't know how that's shifting. I used ten years instead of twenty because the data is easier to collect.
