Any guesses on who is the next commit?
I would venture to guess that it will be a CB. With Steele being added and already having 3 commits being S or CB, the numbers must be tight.
Anyone have any guesses?

I'm not sure who the next one is, but if there is a long drought until the SNL event it's partially by design. That weekend is when they want people to commit, because let's be honest: it looks really good when you get an avalanche of big time recruits commit at the same time.

4-star OT Roger Rosengarten out of Colorado named a top two of Oregon and Washington. Rosengarten already had 2/2 crystal balls to Oregon, and Wiltfong put another one in.
If Rosengarten does eventually come on board it would mean that Cristobal is 3/3 on his top OL target since he's had the job. He got Sewell and Jonah the past two years. 2019 is a weak class for OL in the Pac-12 footprint, so getting one of the few studs is crucial.

Rosengarten tweeted that he's making a big announcement on Saturday. Since he already has a top two I have to assume we should be on quack watch.GoDucksTroll wrote:4-star OT Roger Rosengarten out of Colorado named a top two of Oregon and Washington. The other day JHop said Rosengarten to Washington, and since then the 10 or so crystal balls we had wound up swinging back to the bad guys.GoDucksTroll wrote:4-star OT Roger Rosengarten out of Colorado named a top two of Oregon and Washington. Not a great development, we shouldn't be losing head to head OL recruiting battles against the puppies. Especially in a down year for OL talent on the West Coast. No spinning it, no "we didn't want him anyway" and no "we have a stacked depth chart" excuses.

If he chooses UW because of depth chart concerns at Oregon, then it is a legitimate comment. Hopefully, he picks the good guys.GoDucksTroll wrote:The other day JHop said Rosengarten to Washington, and since then the 10 or so crystal balls we had wound up swinging back to the bad guys.GoDucksTroll wrote:4-star OT Roger Rosengarten out of Colorado named a top two of Oregon and Washington. 6 of our top 9 OL are seniors. He would have an opportunity to play early here for sure.

Not gonna mince words about it - losing rosengarten to uw would suck. He's more "potential" than "surefire," but considering uw's complete lack of credentials with developing OL, we should get our guy over them just about every time.

Re: Any guesses on who is the next commit?
In a year with a weak OL recruiting class on the West Coast, it's kinda bad timing for Oregon to be losing so many OL in one season. Have to really hope the 2018 class delivers since they make up the bulk of the returning OL in 2020.
