Not sure we are for real on his list, but he said some real nice things about Oregon.

I started another thread (oops) with the Rivals and Duck Territory report on Thoma and he really loved the trip and is seriously considering the Ducks

Well, comparing the ducks to USC and UCLA on his criteria, I think we come out very well."Oregon is a beautiful place with a great coaching staff in a great environment. The fan support is incredible, the facilities are the best I've ever seen and the way the coaches and players bond with one another is amazing as well.
Fan support: I think it is clear that the ducks are way ahead in fan support at the moment. Especially after the beat downs that USC has received the last 2 weeks. SS bandwagon is sinking fast.
Facilities: Ducks way out in front as well.
Coaches and players: I think it may be close here since Pete is such a "players coach" but I would bet the attitude is a lot different down there right now. The ducks come together after a loss whereas the Trojans seem to fall farther apart.
Anyways, it all sounds good.

Adding Thomas would be awesome, but even after the visit he seems to like USC and UCLA a bit more.. And UCLA doesn't even seem to be showing so much interest.

USC recruits for competition. If you are a TE right now and decided to commit to USC, good luck. Two top 6 TE's already in this class.
They already have the top dog from this cycle.
UCLA has some impressive Depth at TE right now as well. They got the top TE last year I believe. Have fun on the bench the next couple years at UCLA.
Seems like the Ducks are in a pretty good position for Thomas at least compared to those schools.

Stewart Mandel-"From a purely aesthetic standpoint, I much prefer to watch a good spread-rushing offense over a traditional Power-I offense, and Oregon's has been the most fun by far for the past several years. It's fast, its precise, and when Chip Kelly has the right quarterback (Dixon, Masoli) at the helm, the possibility of someone ripping off a 60-yard run exists on nearly every play."
