Mnn I really hope we offer DeMarcus Smith. When a kid as highly rated as him, love the Ducks & is dying to come here you can't pass that up. From a fans perspective anyway, that's what ya want. I think we'll be taking 2 QBs so a combination of him & the kid from Salem would be awesome.

I agree. I think we have taken larger risks in the past. If you get a kid that talented with that much desire to be a duck, I say take him. He sounds like the type that would already be lobbying other recruits to come to Oregon with him. It isn't like having an extra connection to SEC country would hurt.

How is Damarcus Smith doing this year? Putting up the same numbers? Better? Hope so! He could be amazing in our offense.

He hasn't really played this year since he is recovering from ACL surgery.

ESPNU recruting pages are a joke by in large. They rarely update their page and you never get a good idea of what is going on with that recruit.

"Randall's physical gifts ``are off the charts.'' According to coach Tim Tyrell, Randall was timed running the 40-yard dash during spring football in 4.3 seconds. Tyrell said Randall benches 355 pounds and claims to have seen him complete a pass earlier this season to sophomore receiver Fred McRae ``72 yards down field in stride.''

Dammit. He looked pretty good. This'll teach me not to ever get attached to a recruit from next year's class.
