How many spots left?

Post by bigsugarduck »

So many spots are left? And who takes them!?

Sure seems like if things fall the right way we could potentially land an additional 4-6 elite level players. But do we have room?
Stewart Mandel-"From a purely aesthetic standpoint, I much prefer to watch a good spread-rushing offense over a traditional Power-I offense, and Oregon's has been the most fun by far for the past several years. It's fast, its precise, and when Chip Kelly has the right quarterback (Dixon, Masoli) at the helm, the possibility of someone ripping off a 60-yard run exists on nearly every play."

I think we have like 18 ish scholarships to pass out.

So 6 left? It's really hard to tell though because guys can leave the school early, transfer, not qualify, etc..

I'd say 5-8 range is how many scholarships we have left to dish out.

I bet they end up taking more because of the possibility of transfers, qualify issues, etc. There are still a few top level 4-5* guys out there on Oregon's radar.

yep, never know we might have 2-4 players want to transfers after this season. We had players transfered last 2 years where we might need them the most this season.

Well if we get 7 more I would love to see these cats commit:

Seastrunk or Lattimore
O Owa
Gabe King
Ricky Heimuli
Stephenson or Mathis
Werner
Thomas

The crazy thing is we actually have a chance to finish off the class like this! ;)
