Both good players, but was much more impressed by Flowe's clips than those of Smalls. However, it would be incredible if we got both or even just one of them.

I wonder what Flowe thought of Oregon after seeing them put up 56 on USC and picking them off 4 times.

Everybody would love to see Helton stay. But regarding recruiting, the uncertainty of the coaching staff could help sway potential recruits.

Under most circumstances I would agree that uncertainty might sway recruits. I think the recruits know will be playing for Urban Meyer before they see the field too though.

I have also seen at USC even when they were on probation recruits were still wanting to play there. It never seems to matter to recruits. Oregon has won more times against USC since 2007 and still the recruits go there. I am not sure exactly what has to happen at USC for recruits to not go there.

USC won a national championship in 2004--and arguably another in 2003 (AP #1). Seven straight conference titles during their run. It's not like their success occurred 30 years before incoming recruits were born. Helton won the conference two years ago--it's more recent than Oregon has won it. They aren't Tennessee. If they go ten years straight without winning the South, their recruiting edge will fade. But it has only been two, let's not pretend they are worse than they really are. Even under Helton they've been a top 3 program in the conference.

What makes you so sure USC will.hire UM? Have you read Bill Plaschke's column??? If not I suggest you Google it and take a few minutes to read it.

USC has been a hot mess for a while. I'm have no idea what #theUrbanLegend will do, but I bet there are other options that might be more appealing than USC.

Young "talent" is available in a wide variety of areas... Urban has already tested the waters of the Mid-American (Bowling Green), Mountain West (Utah), SEC (Florida), and Big 10 (tOSU), so his options are shrinking.

Doubtless, some desperate program will welcome him with open pocketbo... er, arms!

Please let UM go to FSU...he needs a taste of ACC. I would love to see him water down Clemson and some of the SEC with him recruiting in Florida. Don't want any part of him recruiting in Cali (or nationwide for that matter) to USC.

Would not like to see USC landing PJ Fleck or Bob Stoops. Hoping USC blows out the rest of the teams remaining on their schedule and Clay survives for another few seasons.

As slimy as he is, if Urban gets hired by USC in early December; USC will fly up the recruiting rankings because kids will flock to play for him. I would steer my kids away but he's just a magnet to recruits. He may leave a mess in his wake but there's no denying he would turn around USC almost immediately and be Pete Carroll 2.0
