Any predictions on who we get? Manning looks almost like a lock and Ringo looks to be all Georgia. Jayson Jones looks like a possibility, but I'm hesitant about him due to the stuff written on this board.

Thoughts?

We have 4 spots left overall between now and next season. Even if some guys transfer, we can't add more than 25 (currently 20 + 1 - Devon Williams counts toward this class).

Spot 1:
Dontae Manning - 100% Duck. Has already signed.

Spots 2-3: High schoolers
- Jayson Jones
- Malachi Wiseman
- Dwight McGlocthern
- Jack Yary
- Jordan Burch (extreme longshot)

Spot 4: Grad transfer
- Most likely OL but may take a QB if a top guy wants in. We tried to get Jordan Love but he went to the draft instead.

Good breakdown. I'm sure we will see new names pop up after the RB and when we sign an OC.

The twitter machine is saying there is now mutual interest between Wake Forest QB Jamie Newman and Oregon.

Jamie Newman is about as good of a grad transfer as there will be at QB.

Man, I’m sure he is decent but I would prefer to they develop the QB’s we have.

Why though? Vernon Adams was vital in 2015. See also:

- Jalen Hurts
- Justin Fields
- Shane Buechele
- Brady White
- Joe Burrow
- Jacob Eason
- Shea Patterson

I think all those schools are glad they took transfer QBs. I think Cristobal and Oregon have the mindset of being the best. If that means bringing in guys from outside, so be it. Should we have just 'developed' our WR group and not gone after Juwan Johnson?

Before this year, it was pretty clear that we were unable to develop our own WR talent. Looking at our QB roster over the years, I think the jury is still out on whether or not we can develop our QB's.

He is a long ways from being in the same category as Justin Fields or Joe Burrow. I think he is only completing like 50 percent of his passes. Just doesn’t move the dial for me personally.

I guess the argument would be if Shough or anyone else on the roster is actually better they would beat him out and start anyway.

I'd rather they just roll with Shough and address other position needs with potential recruits and grad transfers.

He has two years at 60%

And that's on a team that doesn't recruit in the top 50 nationally.

Does he have 1 or 2 years to play?

Nearly 2900 yards passing, 25 TDs vs 11 INTs. Also, the guy was sacked 22 times this year!!!!

I'd take him in a heartbeat.
