I think 2011 takes the cake. We had: Darron Thomas, Bryan Bennett and Marcus all on the roster.

2000 would be another good year with Feeley and Harrington.

We've had an amazing run of top-end quarterbacks at Oregon. I hope Shough can carry it on, but admittedly, I think he's a question mark. Even though the recruit rankings for the bunch that's in the room is good, I don't know if their skill and ability match it. Only time will tell.

You can view the yearly list. Clemens was Elite 11 in 2000 along with Derek Anderson and Dixon was in 2002.

I think he was just elevating the voracity of your post to show they ended up much more.

Pretty sure Clemens and Derek Anderson were both top 5 QB’s in the country coming out of high school. Correct me if I’m wrong but I think Oregon had three of the top five prep QB’s in the country that year in Nic Costa (Aloha HS and Arizona commit) was #1 with Kellen Clemens and Derek Anderson not too far behind.

You’re spot on - Clemens, Anderson, and Costa were the best class of QBs to come out of Oregon. And it all happened in the same year. Obviously Derek Anderson and Kellen Clemens were great. Costa didn’t do anything in college, but scouts were enamored with his strong arm and athleticism.

Having four of the top 10 definitely increases our chances of finding a good one, but the other names between them show that they don’t always live up to those ranking.

My whole point of the post though is to highlight that next year will be the most recruiting stars Oregon has ever had in the QB room by far. Makes the transition from Herbie way easier.
