Great stuff guys...we just need a impressive year of FB and play in a significant Bowl and we will see a lot more interest in us!!
Getting and these guys to come to "The O" would be sweet for sure! What is our "IN" in Florida or is it just from the Sun Bowl beating?
GO DUCKS!!

One quote in this article, directly from McCartney's lips, tells me he is head and shoulders above Ocho Cinco in one area of attitude:
“Getting my weight up, raising my GPA to a 3.5, and just working harder on the football field,” said McCartney.
To further state that point, look at this article:
http://www.sportingnews.com/blog/TheRec ... or_2010_wr
"I think college coaches look at the way I play the game, the mentality that I bring every game," McCartney told SN Today. "They like how I perform in the classroom and in practice. I would say my determination is one thing that will get me to the next level ... Even if it's me playing another position they need me to play, I'll do it."
McCartney went on to say that fans would love him on campus, because he has a good sense of humor to go along with his love for the game of football. He said he will likely make his final decision known on signing day of next year, that he will focus on his senior season before narrowing anything down.
IM sounds like the kind of player Oregon fans crave...

he weighs only 156lbs. that is a little small dude. but i mean he if he gets that up he will be really could and his work ethic if accurate then it probably will go up. But i highly doubt we get him over Florida. and Oregon needs to stop recruiting on just one area like cali and go national level like the big programs do if we want to be in a high bowl 4 out of 4 years instead of 2 out of every 4 years.

It says in the article that he weighs 175. Still needs to add weight, but 156 on a 6'1" body would be more rexy than I could stomach.

Agreed. 156 won't get it done in major college football unless you're about 5'4. On a kid that tall, you should be at 180ishPontius wrote:Maxxwell32 wrote:he weighs only 156lbs. that is a little small dude. but i mean he if he gets that up he will be really could and his work ethic if accurate then it probably will go up. The 156 was for his sophomore season... Maxpreps.com currently lists him at 185... His actual weight is probably between 170 and 180. Not unreasonable for a HS junior WR.

That's encouraging. Once he gets into our weight program I wouldn't be surprised to see him get up to 200woundedknees wrote:The 156 was for his sophomore season... Maxpreps.com currently lists him at 185... His actual weight is probably between 170 and 180. Not unreasonable for a HS junior WR.

Plus the fact that one of his stated goals as a junior was to 'get his weight up' should help alleviate some anxiety... He's a junior now, so there is another full year of development and growth before he even signs with a team, so there is every reason to assume that with that frame, he could easily be 200 to 215 by the time he takes a snap in college, if not more.
