5 out of 1000+ is inherently bad. Arguments against faulty logic are what bring about truth. Otherwise you see very little progress in what is essentially a sheep herd society. Questioning assumptions IS the path to enlightenment. You see, you needed to be corrected. I'm sorry that is such a bad thing in your eyes. That some of us are not scared to argue with regularity is a real service to those of us who care for knowledge.duckgrad99 wrote:
I agree. There are 4 or 5 posters here(that shall remain nameless) that seem to argue against other posters in every one of their posts. Oh well, I guess 5 out of 1000+ isn't bad.

The thing is that posters can provide criticism that is more constructive than angry and argumentative. It seems like some of the people who post criticism start off well but then start getting into personal attacks, which tends to get a thread off-topic and possibly locked by the moderators.Pontius wrote:5 out of 1000+ is inherently bad. You are totally right and I feel that I have been guilty of that on occasion. But for the purpose of finding out truth, I feel that arguments without the belittling comments are very necessary.

I have no problems with arguments as long as posters stick to the main point of the thread and use facts and reasoning to support their arguments instead of personal attacks.Pontius wrote:You are totally right and I feel that I have been guilty of that on occasion.
