UW has not been too far behind us in recruiting. They got rid of Petersen, who was a great football mind but old school recruiter. Now they got Lake, a sleazy but relentless recruiter as head coach. We can't take em lightly and need to work even harder to out-recruit them. That starts from embarrassing them every year on the field.

USC has put an emphasis on recruiting with the new generation and not playing the "we re USC and can get any Cali kid we want at any time in the process without bowing down" card. They got donte now with a ridiculous contract.

We need to be step on the gas and work even harder on the recruiting trail, which i'm sure Mario is doing. We can't be complacent.

It would be great if we got another excellent California recruiter on the staff after losing Donte. (Perhaps a tee martin. He always recruited cali very well but don't know how he was as a coach.)

Interesting. Oregon has done well, but Oregon being 1 has more to do with USC just dropping the ball the past few years...
