Mark Aguirre B+ C- C- C C- A
Aguirre can score points. Averaged 26ppg and 23ppg over the past two seasons. College Player of the Year in 1980–81. High-level athleticism, good body control, and hang time. Has a quick first step. Gets to the rim and throws down dunks in traffic. In college, Aguirre was coached to score the ball and not defend the ball. Will need to work on his fundamentals. Amazing potential
Eddie Johnson B- C+ C B+ C+ C
Ready now prospect. Can score inside the paint. Aggressive defender. Good tools and athleticism defensively. Makes the game look easy. Good competitor and doesn’t lack for confidence. Solid three point shooter. Limited potential
Kelly Tripucka B C C B C B
A four year starter at Notre Dame and led the Irish in scoring every year. Flashes good touch to complete plays around the rim on drives when he’s unable to score on dunks. Capable of highlight finishes where he utilizes his great explosiveness and strength to power through contact. Will need to improve on his shooting range. Defensively, he can do it all but won’t show up in stats. Good potential
Albert King C+ C- C B C A
At UNC, King was known as more of a dunker. Scouts feel he won’t be able to get the same looks as he did in college. Versatile on the defensive end, he can guard from point guards to light power forwards. Has a nice low stance on defense. Good lateral quickness combined with his instincts help him stay in front off perimeter players when he is motivated. Amazing raw potential
Jay Vincent B C- C C+ C+ B
Former teammate of Magic Johnson at Michigan State. Vincent was the Big Ten scoring champ past two seasons. All around talented wing with great size. Versatile, he can play from shooting guard to power forward. Great feel for the game. He possesses a high basketball IQ. Will need to work on his athleticism and strength. Overall good potential
Danny Vranes B- D+ C- B- C A
The foundation of a very good player is there (defense, scoring, creating turnovers) but they all need to be improved for Danny to become that type of player. Needs work in the gym to handle the rigors of DASL but he has great potential.
Gene Banks B- D D+ B- C+ B
Adept at attacking the rim, finishing and jump shot needs works though. Good size and strength to hold his own but not noteworthy. Good rotation player as is but has room to grow with good potential.
Samuel Williams C D+ D+ B+ C+ C
Plug and play defender who knows his role to a T and wont step outside of it. Can guard in the paint and on the perimeter. Positioning is very good to grab rebounds. Ok potential.
Tracy Jackson B+ C- D C C C
Top end inside scorer who has great control to absorb impact and finish at the rim effectively. Jump shot is also effective and creates a mismatch when performing step backs. Once the ball is in his hands, you are not getting it back. Lazy defender and rebounder. Instant scorer with some potential.
