How did he fall to 7?????

Steal
What in his write-up says stud?
Nothing explicit but take this "Nicknamed the Tank due to his strong physique" so you know he is strong (high strength) already which is helpful for a center (if needed can drop down and play PF against "weaker" players and play above his ability) and then I look at his base stats

Offense B-
Defense B-
Rebounding B-

If he only has three TC's of growth you are looking at a player with ratings like this: B+ D+ D B+ B+ and that would put him in the top end for centers. Now imagine another TC of growth and he becomes that stud

It all hinges on how he performs in TC but even if he only has one TC of growth, that is a good player

So I compare that against other players picked around him and his upside (outside of Fat Lever (PG's are not plentiful in this league so his value is rated differently)) was too good to pass up so getting that type of potential at 7 is a steal

Yeah. I a lot of guys can get inflated ratings sometimes but still turn out good. One good training camp a guy’s outside scoring can go from 50 to 60. Which is a big difference in the game.

For instance a guy can have 100 strength 100 quickness 100 vertical and have a 35 inside scoring 50’s defense and 50’s rebounding and still look like a B C C B+ B+ player. But not produce in sims.

Usually when I do this, I say something like interesting or raw.

Now none of these are examples of any players. Just giving people an idea of generating ratings goes

There is plenty of time to make him my main bench post and play for 12 seasons for me until well into his 40s
