And at this point, it’s probably worth a flyer to take Drexler in this range. Solid value pick

I really like Byron Scott but I felt I had SG squared away.

So did everyone else in the top 5 which propelled his slide.

Had another team won the lottery and jumped into the top 4, he wouldnt have waited as long

Yeah Scott was a definite consideration but I needed SF more and maybe PG so those were my two positions. Obviously- if Scott had PG eligibility- would have been an instant pick for me.

Yeah whoever gets Drexler now gets phenomenal value here. He's not going to be a bad player- in fact he'll be very good- he just won't live up to his real life persona here. But he'll be a solid player and a starter for awhile.

Well a great pick for the Pistons here- Drex is going to be a really good player anyways and the notes even say his skillset fits in really well right now. So he'll be an immediate help for the Pistons.

My guess is with Detroit's trade block- he was trying to trade up to get Drex so I'm going to assume he is extremely happy with this pick.

Stipanovich is a great pick here. I would have highly considered him at 3- but have no need for a center or big really.

I don't get the Drexler hate here. As long as his jump shot is fine he will be great. Hell Kellogg and Ansley (see my sig) do and did not have a 3 pt shot and they still efficiently score 16+ ppg. I will be shocked if Drexler isn't B C+, C B (or even B+) C A after 1 camp. I'm confidant that the notes were a smoke screen to a very solid player. The motor city got a excellent value pick IMO

I just thought Scott is better fit at SG for me. I liked Clyde. I had him like 4 or 5 on my board

Celtics quickly have a good looking core of Scott, Woolridge and Bailey
