Another New Commit?
AJ on Rivals posted a thread on DSA's message board and says the Ducks got a new big time commit that everybody will love but is not able to announce it yet per the families wishes.
Let the guessing games begin!

Re: Another New Commit?
Wasn't Gabe rumored to announce during the Civil War? Just what I read on the other thread, so no inside info here either.

Notice the plane that we flew on?

Stewart Mandel-"From a purely aesthetic standpoint, I much prefer to watch a good spread-rushing offense over a traditional Power-I offense, and Oregon's has been the most fun by far for the past several years. It's fast, its precise, and when Chip Kelly has the right quarterback (Dixon, Masoli) at the helm, the possibility of someone ripping off a 60-yard run exists on nearly every play."

I want a DT commit so bad it hurts... But Gabe King would be OK, too.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE BE OWA... Ok maybe not since I think he is still going to USC and will not decide till I thought the Army All Star geame. Owa would be one I would love the most since instate and is a huge recruit.

Re: Another New Commit?
King makes the most sense since he's been here a lot and his mom has checked us out too. He also just stated that we were his leader in a USC post trip interview.
Owa would be very surprising given he's been pretty adament about taking all his trips.
Can't see any players such as Werner, Heimuli, Lattimore etc. who haven't tripped, pulling the trigger. Besides, CK doesn't allow commits unless they have visited.
As for DBs like Mathis, Hill, Stephenson - though they are all coveted prospects, it would surprise me if AJ would be this excited regarding any of them. He used the phrase "happy, happy, happy". Mathis could a possibility sense he just arrived in town, but still feel King makes the most sense.

I'm guessing King or Christian. I think his name was Chritian at least. The 4* TE.

According to DSA Terrance Mitchell is visiting this weekend and he committed last May. Apparently that rule isn't set in stone.MacDuck wrote:King makes the most sense since he's been here a lot and his mom has checked us out too. Re: Another New Commit?
Gabe and Owa are set to decide for the AAA game. Not sure why they'd announce it a month earlier, so I am just not feeling either of those right now. I do believe we eventually land Gabe, and I think we have about a 50% chance or better with Owa (just watch out for Cal and UCLA).
Ir could be Dior Mathis, but isn't he deciding during the AAA game too?
Maybe Stephenson?
I'd guess Gabe King, but who knows.

Well the reason he's not releasing the name is because the family didn't want him to yet. That might be because the player in question is announcing at the AA game. Just speculating...I do have a feeling it's King. Just a hunch though.

That's a though, but that's still a month+ away, doesn't that seem a bit early for spilling the beans to anyone?droop10 wrote:Well the reason he's not releasing the name is because the family didn't want him to yet. Re: Another New Commit?
I believe Mitchell committed after taking an "unofficial" trip some time last Spring or summer. Same kind of deal with Ethan Grant.maxduck wrote:According to DSA Terrance Mitchell is visiting this weekend and he committed last May. As for if the rule is "set in stone", you're probably right as very few things in life are.
