So Coach is expecting this to be a tough game and important for the start of the second round of conference play.

Wants to tighten up the rotation but players aren't really separating, with it going back and forth each practice as to who has the upper hand.

It sounds like he is going to lean more on Chavez and she'll likely start against WSU. Feels he needs her toughness on defense and steady overall game and leadership. Will be interesting to see if she starts over Shelly or Mikesell.

Last time in the come from behind win against WSU it took excellent games from Sabally and Boley to beat them. But with this team it is hard to guess who goes off and who disappears on any given game at this point.

Expect to see Chavez matched with the younger Walker sister from WSU to try to keep her from going off.

Game Day reminder.

Hoping for a big step forward after that last stinker. Graves should grab Altman to come in and tell them how getting your ass kicked can turn your whole season around.

Another Ugly performance. PoaPoa dominating shots put Oregon into a big hole in the 1st. Mikesell continues to be a turnover machine with atrocious entry passes into the bigs. Sabally likewise turns the ball over with frequency. Generally poor shot selection, long twos, feet not set, complete lack of rhythm, playing tight...but they get the win over a solid opponent!
Stewart Mandel-"From a purely aesthetic standpoint, I much prefer to watch a good spread-rushing offense over a traditional Power-I offense, and Oregon's has been the most fun by far for the past several years. It's fast, its precise, and when Chip Kelly has the right quarterback (Dixon, Masoli) at the helm, the possibility of someone ripping off a 60-yard run exists on nearly every play."

Horrible shooting, but WSU had quite a bit to do with that. Very few uncontested shots.

Prince is improving and had a good game. Only critique is she still acts like she's 6'1" playing against 6'8" when she gets close to the basket.

Two teams in a row have over-played the 3 point shot on defense and played a lot of man. Our bigs have to punish that.

Overall, a good win because they beat a good team because they played really well on defense.

I think a big reason by Sabally has turned thr ball over so much and they haven't been more dominant inside is the sloppy and ill timed entry passes. Chemistry has definitely regressed recently...one step back phase, hopefully the two steps forward occurs soon..
