I love the Husky and Beaver fans talking about Oregon under-utilizes talent more than any other team, and they talk about KT and how he “only” had 3 sacks last year and Oregon turned him from a 1st round pick to a 5th round pick. Last I checked mock drafts have him going in the top 10, even top 5 sometimes, in 2022. But I will give them that Oregon under-utilized Herbert’s talent, but that’s cause of Arroyo not Mario.

We may have not gotten the most out Herbie, but the only ones it hurt was the Ducks. They’re saying going to Oregon hurts the player. Justin was a lightly recruited, barely 3 star coming out of high school. He got drafted 6th. The argument doesn’t hold water.

I don’t believe Herbert’s story will keep QB’s from wanting to go to Oregon, if anything it’ll do the opposite. We got a 5 star QB this year and last year was second place with the top QB, QB’s will want to go to Oregon. Just thought it was funny that those bitter Huskies and Beavers are claiming Oregon under-utilizes talent because Arroyo under-utilized Herbert and seeing some of them claim Oregon turned KT from a 1st round pick to a 5th round pick, despite mock drafts showing quite the contrary. They took one example and are holding onto it like glue to try and think perhaps Oregon won’t dominate them in the future despite the evidence showing that they will be nowhere near Oregon’s level, despite the fluke and weird year that led to Oregon State’s win.

If Rookie of the year, and, most likely Rookie offensive player of the year, doesn’t sway, not sure what would. Ducks won conference title and Rose Bowl. He led it. Stupid conversation. Come to UO, show what you got, and put a good team in position to win the Rose Bowl and beyond. Herberts success in the NFL wouldn’t hurt the Ducks at all, quite the opposite.

Henry’s dad said this: I want my son to be in a competitive league. At this point right now the Pac 12 has fallen off the last few years. They’re not the old Pac 12. Him coming to USC, no. Him going to Oregon, that’s highly unlikely, but if everything failed that might be an option.

It’s looking like Henry T will put some of that McDonald’s money towards being a walk-on at Bama.

A spot saved for the JTT long shot and one for a transfer, or failing that two transfers - there are still some good options in the portal and I’m sure there will be more come spring. As others have said an experienced DB doesn’t sound too bad, or another big DL or as against adding more OL as I’ve been if there’s someone like Dallas Warmack that Mario feels would be an instant starter upgrade that would work.

You would think all parties involved wouldn’t be that blatantly stupid about it, especially with rumors of him already being involved with getting money from Tennessee, but I wouldn’t be surprised. Bama is immune to any violations regardless of how obvious they are about committing them.

Where are you getting the 25 +3? I have only seen a limit of 25, so I am curious.

25 is the official limit, but if you don’t fill out all 25 you can use the remainder the next year on early enrollees.

The SEC set a hard limit of +3 so you if you signed 22 in 2020 you have 28 for 2021. But if you signed 18 in 2020 you only have 28 still.

Bama has signed 25 or more each year for like three years, four years ago or so they had 21 or something, they rolled it over. Plus, some of their transfers or high school signees are walk-ons. That’s the only way the numbers pencil out. They’re convincing 4-stars or coveted transfers to walk-on.
