What is the scoop on this dude? Someone mentioned he was at the game, was a Minnesota commit, a 4*, and being recruited at WR. What else?
Just a note.
In seeing the effect of a Percy Harvin in a spread offense, and to a lessor degree Terrance Scott, and also notably the effectiveness of James Rodgers in that Beaver offense, we need a guy like that! Trovon Reed would have been that guy, but we came up short on him. Is Huff a player in this mold? If so, sign him up!

Stewart Mandel-"From a purely aesthetic standpoint, I much prefer to watch a good spread-rushing offense over a traditional Power-I offense, and Oregon's has been the most fun by far for the past several years. It's fast, its precise, and when Chip Kelly has the right quarterback (Dixon, Masoli) at the helm, the possibility of someone ripping off a 60-yard run exists on nearly every play."

people have to remember that our 2 best wr's are probably redshirting this year so it's great to get fresh wr talent in but one has to remember that we're pretty loaded at wr right now. i'm gonna assume as well that huff has a scholie offer.

Re: Josh Huff
Huff pretty much looks like a Kenjon Barner clone in the video I saw. Very similar players.

Is Gaines redshirting? Wasn't there an issue with him playing a few snaps this year?

Re: Josh Huff
He played one snap. The Oregon coaches made a "mistake" and put him in the game for the onside kick against Purdue. Oregon submitted a waiver request so that "mistake" does not burn a year of eligibility. The NCAA has not made an official ruling yet. If the waiver is approved, Gaines will have to sit out the first 2 games next season.Hoagduck wrote:Is Gaines redshirting? Wasn't there an issue with him playing a few snaps this year?

I am not worried about that position at all, as most educated duck fans are. Just commenting that a speedy, multidimensional player can be a devastating weapon (Duh). The effectiveness of Barner and James proves this but they seem to be runners more than pass catcher at this point. Wouldn't mind seeing us get a Tzr whose primary use is in the passing game.hines wrote:people have to remember that our 2 best wr's are probably redshirting this year so it's great to get fresh wr talent in but one has to remember that we're pretty loaded at wr right now. i'm gonna assume as well that huff has a scholie offer.
