Dana Altman has single handedly carried the P12 for over a Decade now.
In such a crazy year for the basketball team and with no clear favorite in The Dance, this team looks poised for another deep run.

Need to get out of that 8-9 seed range for a deep run. Win the Pac 12 Tournament and maybe a 6-seed. Can't believe how low-rated the whole conference is this year.

Just amazed by these guys. After all they've been through. Jelling at exactly the right time. Not much you can bet on in life but death and taxes... and Altman's teams peaking in March. What a coach! Let's carry this momentum into the Pac-12 tournament and then hope we get the right matchups for a Sweet Sixteen run!

Considering how unlucky Oregon has been with covid protocol, it’s really significant that they won the regular season conference title. Love this team! Richardson appears to be back! He showed glimpses at the end of the UCLA game but I have high hopes that he’s returning back to form at the best possible time! Hope he carries this into postseason play. Let’s go win that tourney again! Go ducks!

We've ripped off ten wins in eleven games. The idea that we're slated to be an #8 or #9 seed is ridiculous. Let's go win the conference tournament and get in position to make another Sweet Sixteen.

After their run to the conference title, I'm not sure the committee will slot them as an 8 or 9 seed anymore. If they win 2-3 games this week at the conference tournament, I think they're no lower than a 5 or 6 seed.

It's just Palm that has them that low, I think. Lunardi is now up to a six-seed, and the yahoo bracket has the Ducks as the highest 7-seed. Palm seems like the lowest on the Ducks every year, and it feels like he is going to be wrong, but then the committee often does us even dirtier. Hopefully, they've learned their lesson from past years. If they overtly underseed Oregon again, you have to think that people will notice.

Lunardi has us as a #6 seed.
Also great shooting the last two games. Also nice to see Richardson go off, great win! Great season!

Palm is always anti Pac-12 FWIW.
I do think Oregon should be seeded as a 4 or 5 seed personally. On the merits we're a 6-8 seed, but counting covid/injuries, and what we've done recently, 4-5 is where we honestly belong in terms of quality of play.
Long athletic teams like Baylor/Gonzaga/USC will give us trouble, but avoid those teams and we could be an elite 8 type team.

Palm now has the Ducks as the highest 7th-seed. Quite a jump just from a win over Oregon State and a slight bump in the Net rankings from 34 to 32. Either he is impressed with the conference title, or somebody smarter than him set him straight. Anyway, he was the last holdout; pretty much everyone has the Ducks at #7-seed or higher. Seems like there is a chance to get a 6-seed if the tournament goes well. Getting a win over USC would be good for the rankings, I'm thinking.

Winning Pac-12 probably meant a lot to bracketologists. If Oregon wins the Pac-12 tournament , I'm calling a 3 seed right now. 22-5 as Pac-12 champs reg/tourney is impressive.Phalanx wrote:Palm now has the Ducks as the highest 7th-seed. You can't deny that, plus that would mean we won 14 of our last 15. And two of our losses were without 3 starters and during a time where we practiced very little and had 6 cancelled games in that period.
For ranking purposes, Oregon should really be considered 19-3 right now.

If we played in any other conference, we would be a 3 seed. Larry Scott can’t leave soon enough.UOducksTK1 wrote:You can't deny that, plus that would mean we won 14 of our last 15.
