Only redeeming social value is rest before a likely tough game against (most likely) Iowa.
Not sure I like that.

Looks like some are tracing the VCU outbreak due to a high school state tournament being held the day before the A-10 CG.

Wow, I feel bad for both programs. Just... Dang. Such a special opportunity for these kids, gone. At least the Ducks have a game, but I still feel for the VCU players and staff.
The game could have had an even worse result. Imagine if one of the VCU players got one of the Oregon players sick who got an Iowa player sick, and so on. The tourneys worst nightmare.
Let’s see if the extra rest becomes extra rust. I didn’t like our chances against Garza and Iowa to begin with, so I doubt this makes too much difference. I shouldn’t doubt Dana Altman.

So do I. Did VCU qualify for the tourney last year? That would really suck if they missed it two years in a row due to Covid.GoDucksTroll wrote:Wow, I feel bad for both programs. Just... Dang. I like our chances against Iowa. Garza is a great player and he's going to score, but they struggled a bit yesterday vs Grand Canyon U. Also, Ohio State (#2 seed) and Purdue (#4 seed) have already lost. This makes me question just how good the BIG-10 really is. We'll learn more today.GoDucksTroll wrote:Let’s see if the extra rest becomes extra rust. I didn’t like our chances against Garza and Iowa to begin with, so I doubt this makes too much difference.
