Everyone I have heard from and most everything I have read says the Ducks are still in it and are right amongst the leaders. The reality is unless he has silently committed somewhere only he knows where he is going and that is only if he has even decided yet. Remember when Haloti Ngata was committed to BYU and on signing day announced he was going to be a Duck and remember when Boyd was a Duck yet he is playing at Clemson. And Grant was a Duck and is now a Horned Frog and Diante Jackson was a Duck and then a Buffalo and then a Duck again, I could go on and on. You just never know when it comes to recruiting. Of course like the coaches and most other Duck fans I would love to get Owa and Uko, just like I would have loved to have gotten Pryor and Boyd and Brown but the Ducks are doing just fine without them. I know the defensive line position is really hard to recruit for some reason for the Ducks but I think with Kelly there more often then not the Ducks can outscore the opponent and scheme to get around the undersized line. I am sure Kelly learned from the Stanford game and will be more prepared when a facing a similar team again. If the Ducks keep winning it won't be long before the in-state talent stays and the defensive line players want to play in Eugene.

How many commits do we have room for left on the 2010 class?
if we are at 15 now, i'm guess no more than 6 scholie left. this is one of those years where the media (at least i haven't seen it asked yet) hasn't asked the coaches how many scholies we have to give out. someone asked Tressell yesterday and he said they had 20 or 21 to give out which means they have about 7 scholies left. as for next year, i'm pretty sure it will be a full 25.

oh pure comedy. suh was never ever coming here because he was going for engineering. we covered this last week. we didn't lost Lowe because UW was the ONLY school to offer him at wr. I've never expected Owa because he initially wanted engineering, then maybe not, then who knows. don't SOME of you realize that some kids just want to leave the state? has that EVER occured to any of you? don't some of you realize that some kids in california want to LEAVE the state too? it goes both ways.

lol..at Lowe being an impact player. Suh took 2 years to figure it out (like most DT's) and who knows with Owa. none of these kids have been or will be "impact" players. lowe will probably redshirt and then have a brand new qb to work with and Owa will probably RS.

there's the cliff folks -----------> :!:
HEY DICK FACE, all I said is that I wish we could keep impact player's in state!!! Everybody knows we didn't have a chance at them. This is why I said " it is what it is." So instead of trying and failing to look superior on the computer, why don't you take your extra time and go F**K YOUR SELF WIMP!!!!!

Personally, the guy [Hoagduck] who responded and said, "You're still a prick," was really out of line. Or how Mdm0302 is swearing at Hines, "F'n this, and F'n that." TK1, How is that not a violation of board rules and not deserve periodic ban? Truly, a double standard.

Now, back to why I started reading this post in the first place...

btw, i think you might have "won" an argument on a message board. so does that make you the donkey or the little kid? lol if you don't know what that means, scroll up.

Brich - It is best to just ignore Hines. He has been doing this s*** for years on educk and has now moved his way over here because people on educk don't bite anymore.

It's all good, I have seen him do this to a ton of people on here and i try to stay out of it. Once in a while he actually comes with some interesting point's.
I work in a prison so needless to say i don't take anything personal. And I see this type of personality all the time. I don't think he actually tries to come off as abrasive as he does.
You are right though the best thing to do is ignore it but, hey nobody is perfect right!! lol!!

He was surprised when we asked him about the ucla rumor. So yeah, either this is nothing more than a misinformed rumor, OR he doesn't want to admit the rumor to us.
bump, educk's post on owa was false. Owa is still open.

flaunt my knowledge? you mean the knowledge that i've read on the internet that is available to EVERYONE else? that knowledge? good lord folks, it's not as if this Owa stuff is a stunner.

and yes, like i've said and many BEFORE me, engineering was Owa's initial choice, which i pointed out earlier and once again, the 2nd i read that, i just pull down the shutters on him. the second ANY recruit brings up engineering i just wave bye bye and if he changes his mind on his major, then i tune back in.

all you have to do is read. i don't have any special powers here. i have zero inside knowledge or sources. all i do is read. that's it. you can do the exact same thing and draw your conclusions on your own. it's honestly very easy. you just edit as you go along and things get really simple.
I bolded the overly rude remarks. Can't you just argue your point with out being a smart alec?

You could have easily said: I'm not flaunting my knowledge. It's known that Owa is interested in an engineering program, which basically crosses out Oregon. All I did was look on the internet to find this information.

If you can't abide with the rules, then you are not welcome here.
so let me get this straight....i'm just loving the double standard here. me saying that i only get information by reading stuff about recruits is rude? me saying all you have to do is read is rude? but that's true. all you have to do is read. that's all i do is read. i clearly said that i don't have any inside sources and never have. so if i don't have any of those, how can i find out the info that i respond to? i read. and now people are calling that rude? really? i'm just like 99.9% of EVERYONE here. i don't call recruits. never have, never will. so if i don't get the information from the source (recruits), how can i get the information? i like 99.9% of EVERYONE here reads it on the internet. how else do we find out the information? do we see it on the tv news? nope. do we read about it in the newspaper? pretty much never. so if those 2 sources aren't available to us...where do we find the information? on the internet by reading. i truly don't understand the logic about somehow reading is now rude to some.

and then here again:
it's honestly very easy. you just edit as you go along and things get really simple.

how is that rude? that's MY truth. i read the same stuff like everyone else does. i gather information like everyone else does. so far not rude. after many, many months (remember, this is about month #9 for recruiting for 2010 class) you learn what to kinda believe and what to kinda ignore. it's like driving your car. i can't sit and tell you from the passenger seat what it feels like to you. you know what the steering wheel feels like and when something new comes across that steering wheel, your brain kinda jumps to attention right? the wheel bobbles in your hand like it hasn't before and you start to wonder. over time, you edit yourself. your brain says this is ok but that isn't. that's all i was saying. that sentence wasn't meant to be rude, it's how I follow recruiting. i gather info like everyone else and you start to edit things down to what is probably right and wrong. it is, after 9 months, pretty easy. it is. just look at the new recruit we got yesterday. read how many folks who were kinda upset about it. i replied yesterday to someone by askign why are they so upset? you've never seen the kid play a down of football and you didn't realize he walked the face of the earth 3 hours earlier and the poster seems upset over this. why? over time, you edit your emotions about this stuff. the coaches will always know more than anyone else here. that's not rude, that's the truth. do i know more about your family than i do? of course not. so why get kind of upset over a new kid when the only thing you know about him is his height and weight and maybe his size when he was in HS? edit yourself. it does make it easier. that's not rude, that (to me) is just common sense.

and finally, for me, the double standard:

I bolded the overly rude remarks.

HINES! YOU F ING ANNOYING TO READ! STOP ALWAYS HAVING TO TRY AND PROVE YOURSELF RIGHT.............. ITS F ING ANNOYING

agreed and if Hines is proved wrong he never responds back.

Great. You're still a prick.

...to the point of making others feel bad. I think it's great if you share what you know with everyone. But when you do it simply to put others down, it means you're pathetic.

were you going to bold their rude remarks or is what they said ok? isn't being an admin. on a message board fun? lol

if everyone agreed this place would be boring, hes not trying to call you out just stating his thoughts just like everyone else

exactly. i'm not trying to call out anyone. i'm just giving my opinion. if you don't like it, ignore it. i'm honestly not trying to make anyone upset. that's just dumb. remember, someone said the following about me:

Hines ---> If losing out on the best prospect in the state is not a big deal recruiting-wise, then nothing (recruiting-wise) is. Stop being a prick.

which would be great if i actually said that which i never did. please remember when i reply to something, remember the original post that i'm replying to.

and lastly (thankfully):

agreed and if Hines is proved wrong he never responds back.

that's actually not true. please tell me what i was proven wrong on that i never responded back to. honest. i'd love to know. please realize that i don't respond to everything. i've started many replies to many posts and stopped about halfway thinking that if i respond, some people might think i'm being rude or will take my reply out of context so i don't respond. and most stuff i don't respond to is because i don't think it's that interesting to be honest. there is no need for me or really anyone else to respond because the point has been made and the board has moved on.
I'm not going to read all that because I don't have the time and I don't feel like arguing. I'm sure you make some great points, but..

The fact is, if I started a poll right now whether or not I should ban you, I'm willing to predict 80-20 would say ban you. Now why is that? If you really can't figure that out by yourself, then you are truly ignorant.
