I talked with VJ Fehoko after the mainland bowl. He says Ricky was playing both d-line and o-line, but seemed to be better on the offensive side of the ball. He shut out 5 star defensive tackle Sharrif Floyd!!!BisonDucks wrote:At DT he will most likely redshirt and then take a two year mission. You might as well pretend he is a 2013 recruit. Re: New Commit
Sounds great Nate...and now we play the waiting game.
I love and hate the term "in the bag" only for the reason that we've heard it before.
Thanks again.

Vj, says we have Ricky Heimuli in the bag, meaning we have him locked in. No worries here guys! VJ is a 4 star LB, who is down to texas tech, Utah, and washington.

I agree but from reading this interview and watching interviews Lattimore seems like a guy that wants to stick close to home.

He seems like a family guy. His sister did go to USC but I don't know he seems like he loves his momma

Although Lattimore did say this:
'I just want to give everybody a fair shot, because I haven't been to Oregon,' Lattimore said. 'I really want to see that place and I think I'm going to like it. That's why I'm not naming a leader right now.'

I saw that too, but I think that USC down there might mean Univ. of South Carolina, not Southern Cal unfortunately.Diehardduckfan wrote:UOducksTK1 wrote:and Gabe King, Owa, Dior Mathis, Erick Dargan, Lattimore, and Werner!polyduck wrote:All I want for Christmas is......Ricky Heimuli to sign a LOI with OREGON! The one hope I hold out for Lattimore is that he comes out, has a great time and bonds with the players. He seems like a great young man and maybe the Ducks work in the community (food drive and visit to Juvenile Detention Center) this year will be an attractive addition for him.
Remember Momma can come do her Masters, there are a ton of great programs at Oregon!

thanks for the update nate! that's REALLY good news.....folks please remember .....just because Ricky Heimuli is LDS, doesn't mean he will go on his mission.nateduck123 wrote:I talked with VJ Fehoko after the mainland bowl. Yeah, he can definitely change his mind at any time. However, for what it is worth, he has said multiple times that he plans to go on his mission after his freshman season.polyduck wrote:thanks for the update nate! that's REALLY good news.....folks please remember .....just because Ricky Heimuli is LDS, doesn't mean he will go on his mission.
