Real underrated prospect who really blew up once he transferred from run-oriented Lincoln to a more wide-open attack at Lake Oswego. A track guy that still hasn't hit his full potential yet.

It doesn't look like Lowe ran a full track season, as he only has one registered 100m time on Athletic.net. Maybe the season didn't finish in the state? I'm a little shocked he doesn't have any sub-11 100m times, because his hudl makes it look like he goes 0 to 100 as fast as anybody we've had since DAT (maaaaybe Charles Nelson). He has a lot of growth left in being a wide receiver, but there are glimpses of potential to be more than just a fast guy (hands look pretty good, lateral movement is great).

My brother in law goes to all the LO games and loves this addition. His direct quote is that he is lightening fast, great breaks out of routes and the best hands he has seen. I think Lowe was wildly underrated. There is a reason Notre Dame, Florida and USC wanted him. This is a big time get in our backyard.

This may have some legs to it, pun intentional. The world’s top 100 meter sprinters are (with a few exceptions) all very light for their height, even the ones that look muscular enough to weigh more than they do. Only a handful above 180 (Bolt is 6’5” 207) including one that’s 6’ 148 pounds. It’s part of what made Thomas Tyner such a unicorn. If a guy has track speed without being underweight for football reasons it also makes me think he can shoulder the extra bulk and lose less speed in the process. Modern pads are so small and light, but still a factor.

I do wonder what CJ Verdell would be like at 190 instead of 220.
