That was one of the most pathetic "wins" I have ever witnessed. The Oregon women somehow manage to shoot 0-16 from 3PT range, in a home game, against a lousy opponent. Unfortunately, that was just the tip of the iceberg in terms of general incompetence. Had they not been playing such an inept team, that missed a ton of wide open looks and free throws down the stretch, they would have lost.....and deservedly so. About the only bright spot was Prince playing closer to the type of game you would expect on a regular basis.
If I had to single out one player that has epitomized the overall underachievement and lousy play this team has displayed of late, it is Sydney Parrish. She goes 0-8 from the floor, 0-4 on 3PT attempts and has a handful of terrible defensive plays. This has become par for the norm for her. She has been a complete disaster in every facet of the game lately. There is absolutely no excuses that can be given for this. Some players can blame the fact that they have had bad luck with injuries and are still recovering, they are playing in an offensive system that isn't friendly to their style of play, etc. None of this applies to her astonishing underachievement. The only good news is nobody will care about any of this if she (and the team in general) snaps out of it and plays well down the stretch, and especially in the tournament.

Great to see Sedona have a great game; Kelly needs to find her more touches at the elbow. That jumper is cash. Also, you started to see the flashes of brilliance from Philly!
Overall a hard game to watch but a dub is a dub. Not many teams will win going 0-fer from downtown. Let's hope they get on a roll Sunday against the Trees.

Must be something in the water at MKA for both Oregon teams to be shooting as badly as they have been the past few weeks.

I noticed the same thing. Too busy to research it but I'd be curious about the home and away shooting splits in Pac-12 play. Seems like MKA is a shooting disadvantage. Rough game to watch.greenyellow wrote:Must be something in the water at MKA for both Oregon teams to be shooting as badly as they have been the past few weeks.

Tough to watch us vs Stanford tomorrow, with our Portland girl Brink playing for them; but I guess one can’t blame her for signing there, and also getting to watch her childhood friend and the Warriors across the Bay.
We are getting a St. Mary’s Academy girl from Portland in 2 years, Sofia Bell, daughter of ex-Duck hoopster Greg Bell. Don’t remember a whole lot about him, but heard he was pretty good. Maybe played for Belko?

Not Belko or he'd be 70 or 80. Played 81-84.... 35 career points. Known as a motivational speaker
