Cole Prusia Walks-On at Oregon

The one-time Oregon State commit, one-time Princeton commit, is now slated to head to Eugene. Looks like he'll be a wide receiver, as he tagged Junior Adams in his commitment tweet. I think he's better at safety, but we'll see.

In my opinion, his senior tape didn't look as good as his junior tape (maybe added too much bulk, as he looks slower), but he's a hell of a pickup as a walk-on. I like him as a safety, and I'd say he's a better prospect than Nick Pickett and probably Brady Breeze, for reference. 6'3, 200, great hands, great football IQ, plays corner at the high school level, and sufficient speed. Would be a very physical WR.

Any background on why he committed then decommited from two different schools. Not disparaging him just wondering why the changes.

Given he's a local kid, I bet someone knows something. He decommitted from OSU to commit to Princeton, so that was just your normal flip. Why didn't he go to Princeton? My guess is either cost-related or admission-related. He's a very good student (4.0+ GPA), and sports helps, but you don't know. Ivy League schools don't do sports scholarships, so perhaps they were staring down $50k+/yr in costs and decided against it. Just don't know.
