Blazers/Celtics

Post by UOducksTK1 »

TRADE #1
Celtics Trade:
Byron Scott
LaSalle Thompson
Bimbo Coles
Ben Coleman

Blazers Trade:
Charles Barkley
Jayson Wililams (Blazers can tradeback in offseason, option to sign and trade with matching expirings)
Dana Barros
Blazers 96 1st (Top 7 protected until 2000, becomes unprotected then)

TRADE #2
Celtics Trade:
Craig Hodges

Blazers Trade:

Isaiah Rider
Steve Kerr
Freddie Banks

I accept. Rider and a 1st is decent value for Scott. Barkley's terrible contract will match Higgins perfectly!

Accept

Shortens my window for sure, but at least it gives us a much better chance of being an actual contender

Celtics werent lying that Scott would be moved for less than expected

I also didnt realize that Scott was 33, thought he just entering his 30's  so that plays a factor in his return

Interesting move by Celtics to get Barkley in return who has a larger contract than Scott but it might make them slightly better this year, will be fun to see

Pick added to futures thread

Ya this is kind of a weird trade for both of us to be honest. But I didn't get a single offer for Scott, so I'll take it.

And I was looking to make moves in either direction but found absolutely nothing, so I’m happy to get a legit 1st option, but also a defined window of 2-3 years and then do a full rebuild
