Surprise RB Interested?

Post by dthomas=ddixon »

http://blog.oregonlive.com/ducks/2009/1 ... sinfo.html

"The other interesting news is that Oregon's also has another running back interested. Not Seastrunk or Lattimore, someone else of the bigtime variety. Nobody's giving up his name though because he's committed to another school.

My guess? I'm speculating as much as anyone but for fun I'll throw out three guys who it might be. Again, just based on the player having a reason to look around, etc.

Cameron Roberson. He's committed to Notre Dame right now. That situation alone speaks for itself.

Josh Huff. He's from Aldine, Texas and knows Dontae Williams. He's also committed to TCU where Ethan Grant is now committed, and Huff has visited Oregon. Huff is a 4-star back from again, Aldine, just outside of Houston.

DJ Morgan. Committed to USC back in September. Took an ASU visit late last month. I doubt its Morgan but you have to wonder with all the stuff flying around in LA right now about USC and violations, who knows."

Anyone have a clue who it might be? This is definitely the first I've heard about it.

If your talking about the same back some of the other recruiting sites have, it's an east coast guy.

wow, I don't want to get my hopes up to much but... If this continues, its going to be like the stupid ass comercial where banks compete to give you a loan!!

ML and LS might want to hurry up and commit while they still have achance too!! O.k I know I'm getting ahead of myself a bit, but a guy can dream right?

My first thought was Clay, since he was really high on us at one point and is now committed to OU. Maybe it is Dyer though? That would be nice. Ah the emotional rollercoaster of recruiting.....

If you go on Talefeathers theres a thread titled "DJ Morgan" & another "Brandon Gainer has Oregon in his top 4" so maybe its one of those 2. With Ethan decommitting the coaches are obviously going after RBs besides Lache & Latt so who knows exactly who it is. Theres still a lot of RBs out there, especially if they're going after ones already committed. I just hope our seemilingly decent shot with Lache now is reality & not just another BB/TP soap operah.

Could it be Mack Brown perhaps? I know a long time ago he said he wanted to visit for sure, but that was before his commitment to Florida.

Gainer is a name that has been mentioned, and sounds like we are recruiting him. But that's not the guy I was thinking about.

Gainer doesn't have an offer at the moment.

I'm sorry but those two names within our histories are nowhere near close
