Well he seems to wear oregon gear a lot and no other teams gear from his pictures on facebook. How a guy dresses all the time does let you know something that is going on in his head.nateduck123 wrote:Just spoke to owa on the phone. Top 4 in no order are Oregon, Oregon State, UCLA, and USC. Asked him about UCLA. He's very unsure about them, saying they don't have academically what hes looking for. He's looking for Business and Proximity-Oregon has these. He had so many good things to say about Oregon. Guy's, i think Owa is going to be a duck. Don't get excited yet, though. There is still a lot of time left! He mentioned that hes not going to decide at the AAA game, like many of you know already.
thanks a lot for sharing Nate I really appreciate it.

I'll still be very surprised if he ends up a Duck, but appreciate knowing we're still in it.

My son plays in the O-D bowl for youth All Americans Jan. 2nd. There are going
to be at least 8 to 10 Duck recruits there I hope to have some updates when we
return.

I am not getting my hopes up about Easley.. or Owa.. I think Easley goes to Penn State. and I still think Owa goes to USC. When and if they decide to come to Oregon then I will be surprised.

Careful, Nate... Some people could get excited!
Come to think of it, getting both of those guys would be sorta fine, in an understated way...

question Nate
Do you think that the Owa battle could come down to Ducks vs Beavers? Some folks out there seem to think he's a lot more interested in OSU than anyone knows. Was it you that posted something about Owa saying that he felt some of our coaches were a little arrogant? I know we are sitting a little better re his possibly academic choice, would you agree? Finally, there was talk that when Owa & his mom tripped Ucla that they hooked up very well with Uko's family. Now that he has made it official re USC, what's your take on the Trojan's chances?

Re: question Nate
Yes, there is a very good chance at Owa deciding between the ducks and beavers; wants to play close to home. The interest in the schools, seems to favor the ducks, just cause Owa mentions he wants to major in sports business. He wants to go to a school that would give him the best career in what he wants. Owa knows strongly about the Nike connection, and if somehow he doesn't make it to the pro's, he could work with Nike when hes done. And No, never posted anything about owa saying our coaches were arrogant. you got the wrong person... It's hard to believe he would say that. When we were talking, he had nothing but good things to say about coach azz. Owa did say he loved his visit down to Ucla and his mom really enjoyed it. Nothing else was mentioned about ucla in our conversation. He did mention Uko to me, but thats only because i brought it up. I was wondering what he thought about uko going to usc. he really didnt care much. Trojans chances are just as good as anyones. Owa says he doesnt want to decide until signing day. He said if he were to decide sooner than signing day, it would be a week before. He is really sorting things out right now. Right now id say Oregon 30% Oregon St 20% USC 25% UCLA 25% at landing owa. When this recruiting class is over, i bet you we land 2 of the 3 big defensive ends. I'm 100 percent sure on this statement!MacDuck wrote:Do you think that the Owa battle could come down to Ducks vs Beavers? That's certainly good enough for me, but I'd also be satisfied with just Owa. Getting the top in-state talent should be a big priority for the program long term.i bet you we land 2 of the 3 big defensive ends. I'm 100 percent sure on this statement!

Nate, sounds like you too are hearing the rumors that King & Easley are silents. Not sure I'm as comfortable as you in saying 100% regarding 2 of the 3 from among Owa, King & Easley, but there seems to be a lot of folks feeling pretty good right now. Just been around this recruiting stuff for too long to be 100% about anything until the signature is in.Hoagduck wrote:That's certainly good enough for me, but I'd also be satisfied with just Owa. Man, if we get King and Easley that would be insane. I noticed that Easley is not listed as a Penn State commit on Scout. Seems strange, since I thought he was still officially committed to them.

Re: HS All Star Games Thread
Easley now announcing between us & penn st when hes already committed to penn st seems to point to him picking the Ducks. We'll see but man, Easley, King, & Owa? That'd blow my mind.
