Minnesota Timberwolves - Vancouver Grizzlies

Post by The Bean Regime »

I know y'all missed it!

Minnesota sends:
Bimbo Coles
'99 Minnesota 1st

Vancouver sends:
Benoit Benjamin
Lance Blanks

Accept. Decided to use my 1st to play the FA and agreed on a trade pre-fa based on signings, so I'm happy it ended up being cohesive signings where both can probably start. Woulda sucked to get like 2 Cs or something.

Kinda wanted the Mashburn 3-yr max but this will do. :P

Booker Booker Booker (please don't die in TC  )

Accept, wasn't competing anyways so was happy to get an asset from a team who wanted to use my cap space

this seems like not a good deal, but maybe the pre-trade thingy makes it make sense?

I'd say this outcome is probably a pretty good one, so if you hate this one you probably hate most of the outcomes

But eh. Fun play, makes me better for not too much, low risk (since I dictated the bids and if they didn't sign obviously no deal at all). Ideal outcome probably woulda been Duck and Mills (or one of the higher solo bids like Mashburn or Bradley) so I don't think this one is far off from the other duo.

It is interesting that you wanted Mashburn, Mills, and Blanks, but didn't approach me about any of them. Just weird.
