I guess they could be. I was under the impression that the unnamed RB is the guy committed to Penn State though. Mainly because the Mack Brown rumor came a while afterward and some of the people who seem to know who the other recruit is seemed to be uninformed about Brown.

It's leaked out now: Brown is the unnamed RB recruit that is committed to another school. He had early interest in Oregon, then verballed to UF. His renewed interest in the Ducks was established way before Meyer's announcement. There is also a 2nd 2009 RB, Brandon Gainer, that Campbell recently visited. He is NOT currently committed anywhere, but is said to have strong Oregon interest. He is from south Florida.

Hard to say whether Brown or Gainer will end up making January trips to Oregon. With the Meyer situation and Brown already having interest, it certainly wouldn't surprise if he does. Gainer appears to be more of a fall back option right now.

That is quite a statement...How do you know that he is not the mystery RB? If you know WHO IT IS...spit it out man....Otherwise, lets here something substantial to back your statement up...

and the same to the poster stating it leaked out and is in fact Mack Brown....

How awesome is it that perhaps 3 of the nations best RBs are all considering Oregon.

Wow, this thread is getting out of hand. Whoever this "mystery" player is, I don't think it's worth worrying about. I'm sure the ducks will get some of these top recruits in the end anyway. I think we are all ready for the rose bowl already!!!!

It seems like a reasonable thing for Oregon to be getting this sort of positive attention... It still boggles my mind that Petey has had commits from both a 4 and 5 star RB for over 3 months...

I'm not saying he is. I thought Gainer was the mystery RB.. But either way, Mack Brown was talked about as a possible duck prospect.

He said via scout that he's still solid to Florida, so you can scratch him off unless he changes his mind.
