Re: Owa cut schools
The story is up on our site & the beev's & ucla's site but not Scs or cal's. The headline on ucla's site is: "Bruins make final four". I'm guessing it's us, osu, ucla & obviously one other team.

question Nate
You were spot on with what you said the other day re Owa and his final 4. Good job.
I see from his update today where he says Oregon is scheduled for an in-home on 1/18. That's good to hear, but it sure would be nice to get his mom down to Eugene to give her the full tour. How important do you think that is? She got to see the UCLA campus and meet their coaches, etc. Do you think she is a huge part of Owa's decision, or do you think it's going to end up being his choice in the end?

Props for sure man.nateduck123 wrote:yep, posted this several days ago
Well from what I've heard she will play a pretty big part in his decision, she wants him to stay close to home. And I don't know anything for sure but I think she has been down here. They only live in Portland so I'm sure she came down on one of his pultiple visits.MacDuck wrote:You were spot on with what you said the other day re Owa and his final 4. Good job.

Re: question Nate
Owa will have coach azz, chip, and don pellum visit on the 18 for those who don't know. I honestly don't think his mom will have that big on an impact on his decision if that helps.MacDuck wrote:You were spot on with what you said the other day re Owa and his final 4. Good job.

Re: Owa cut schools
I heard at work tonight that OWA is all nebraska.. The person that told me claims to know the family.
I don't know this lady very well or if she really even knows OWA's mom like she says. I just thought I would through it out here to see if anybody in the "know" thinks this is even possible?

Considering he listed his final 4 schools, I would say that's unlikely. She must have been thinking about someone else.

Re: Owa cut schools
new premium article on Scout has something to say about a fifth team being added back in, a "reshuffling" of the schools, and info about Owa's timeline for deciding

Re: Owa cut schools
News on Owa right now is very confusing. According to Rivals & Scout yesterday Owa had added Neb back onto his list due to how great they looked in the Holiday bowl and one of their coaches had told him to reconsider them so he is. Now this morning, Rivals is reporting that Owa is likely down to UCLA & Oregon St, with Oregon still in it, but barely.
Unfortunately, these All Star games can also cause so much flipping & flopping in terms of where theses kids' heads are at. They are getting interviewed every day and also getting pulled in several directions by the other players in attendance. Frankly I'm gettin real annoyed by the whole process, but to be honest that's partly due to the fact that the news hasn't been so good for us. We really need King & Mathis to announce for us. If they don't things are going to be pretty bleak.
