I like this for the Suns actually. Payton has a similar contract (whoops) and Smits is FAR better overall. Those 2 picks will both be late 20s anyways.

Agreed. At first glance I had hated it but then I remembered Payton’s contract. I like it for the Suns.lukeyrid13 wrote:I like this for the Suns actually. Payton has a similar contract (whoops) and Smits is FAR better overall. Those 2 picks will both be late 20s anyways.

Take away their rings altogether and the west still has the same number of rings as the eastdd10snoop28 wrote:Suns/Grizz have half the championships in west in history. Do better, west!duckyoubeavers wrote:smits and shaq is scary

that makes sense since the west has 5 GM's in the top 6 of nefarious rankings.Foxyg1396 wrote:Take away their rings altogether and the west still has the same number of rings as the eastdd10snoop28 wrote:Suns/Grizz have half the championships in west in history. I think it's a pretty even deal, Payton has only 2 years left, and I think the picks might be better than you think, TOR will be looking at cap hell and their stars being 35 in the season before that pick... probably make the playoffs, but a retirement or decline could put it middle of the round, an injury could even put it late lottery.lukeyrid13 wrote:I like this for the Suns actually. Suns pick... who knows man, it'll be 2002, probably still be good, but the only guys under contract right now for them will be Shaq and Smits (who'll be 35 and already started to decline this TC) taking up the full cap, lot of variables with picks that far out, and he he's wiped out of 1sts and 2nds for the next 4 drafts which would make a re-stock tough, especially if he loses Gatling in FA this year.
I think I might have gotten a better deal in the summer, but it wasn't guaranteed.
