Does this make Gabe King's decision a lot easier to commit to us?

Wow......why do I even get my hopes up? How many times am I going to fall for what some of the mods say about prospects? This is a crappy W/E

Go for it. Seems like a longshot, sounds likes A&M. But hey if Easley can pick Florida out of the blue, I don't see why Hurd couldn't pick Oregon.karlhungis wrote:What about Hurd?UOducksTK1 wrote:Pretty sure that's it. this is why you never get excited for kids who live 3000 miles away. i've said this for years and years that 1500 miles is about the limit. some do slip that mile barrier but never ever get your hopes up. this is about the 4th or 5th year in a row this has happened. it will happen again next year. moving along...

Rivals has a headline saying, "Under Armour commitments could surprise." Wish I would have read that before I woke up and turned on that game this morning. I am never becoming invested in a recruit ever again.

I thought he was all ducks and wanted to come to the west coast? Unbelievable. I didn't even know Florida was an option at this point.

Re: Easley to Florida
Anyone with a educk account might wanna read what m4dux posted. Sounds like Easley could have very well decided to pick Florida even today.
Or again a recruit was messing with everyone except the team he committed to.
Afterall, yesterday there wasn't even supposed to be a Florida hat.

Re: Easley to Florida
The problem is that this happens every season. I know it happens with recruiting, but it's so frustrating. I just hope we are still able to get some of these other recruits.

Plain and simple Easley's quote about leaving the east coast was nothing but a lie. Personally anybody that lies like that shows a total lack of character and do not want them on the Ducks. Lack of character. I know it is recruiting and am not surprised. What saddens me is how so many of these recruits lack character.I was always brought up that if said things I better be able to back it up.

Like the announcer just said... Until that name is delivered in ink on the dotted line, nothing is a done deal.
Not saying Easley or any other kid will come to the fold, just don't invest your whole life in a high school recruit.
Who knows... Maybe he won't qualify, re: a couple of past Oregon DT recruits we all hate to remember.

I agree. Good riddence to Easley. You just don't make comments to the public like he made after decommiting from Penn State and then screw people over.

I wouldn't call it a lie. To someone growing up in the Northeast Florida isn't the East Coast, it's the South. Just because we wanted to believe he was coming here an read what we wanted to into his comments doesn't make him a liar. Still sucks though

Re: Easley to Florida
It probably doesn't hurt considering the location of the UA AA game.
Tropicana Field in St. Petersberg, Florida...
Gainesville is in the middle of the state, so I guess in a twisted way, you could say it really isn't on the "East Coast".
